The Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) recently conducted the turnover ceremony for outgoing and incoming MGB Regional Directors (RD) for MGB Regional Office (RO) No. X (Northern Mindanao) and RO No. XII (SOCCSKSARGEN). Engr. Felizardo A. Gacad Jr. and Engr. Efren B. Carido has been designated as the new Officer-in-Charge (OIC) RDs of MGB RO No. X and RO No. XII, respectively.

The designation comes after the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Special Order No. 2021-332 was signed by DENR Secretary Roy A. Cimatu.

RD Gacad previously held the regional director position of MGB Region XII, while RD Carido previously served as regional director of MGB Region X.

The turnover ceremony was held in the office of MGB Region XII in Koronadal City on Thursday, July 1, 2021; officiated by DENR Undersecretary for Mining and Muslim Affairs Jim O. Sampulna, CESO I. It was also attended by DENR-MGB officials such as DENR Asst. Secretary for Mining Concerns Engr. Nonita S. Caguioa, DENR XII Regional Executive Director Atty. Felix S. Alicer, Environment Management Bureau RO XII Regional Director Engr. Omar M. Siakol, MGB Director Atty. Wilfredo G. Moncano, and other MGB XII officials and staff.
