   The Office of Civil Defense (OCD) organized the “Scoping Workshop on the Development of National Database on Pre-Disaster Baseline Data of NGAs and LGUs” workshop last April 8-11, 2025, at the Madison 101 Hotel, New Manila, Quezon City.

A high-level Philippine delegation recently visited the Luleå University of Technology (LTU) last 2 April 2025 in Sweden as part of efforts to deepen cooperation on sustainable mining practices, critical minerals, and research innovation. The trip underscores the country’s commitment to strengthening global partnerships in support of its growing minerals development agenda.

The Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB), through its Lands Geological Survey Division (LGSD), participated in the second part of the "Reconfiguring River Basin Management in the Philippines" workshop from March 25 to 28, 2025, at the Hotel Casiana and Events Center in Tagaytay City.

The Mines and Geosciences Bureau Employees Association Central Office Chapter (MGBEA CO) conducted a three-day seminar titled "Seminar on the Role of Mining and Geology in Everyday Living" from March 25 to 27, 2025. The event aimed to strengthen awareness of mining, metallurgy, and geology among MGB Central Office personnel.

Sagada, Mountain Province—From March 24 to 28, 2025, a five-day mine rescue training program equipped members of the Northern Sagada Small-Scale Miners Association, Inc. with essential skills and specialized rescue equipment to manage mining-related emergencies effectively.
