Members of the Mines and Geosciences Bureau Mining Technology Division participated in a two-day online workshop of the Artisan Gold Council for their planetGOLD Philippines program on August 26-27, 2021, through Zoom. The workshop was conducted for the due diligence measures in the artisanal and small-scale gold mining (ASGM) sector. 

Along with the MGB central office, MGB Cordillera Administrative Region and MGB Region V were also invited as they have jurisdiction over project sites concerning artisanal and small-scale gold mining. 

The workshop aims to capacitate national stakeholders on the implementation of the organization for economic cooperation and development guidance, due diligence policies between Mongolia and the Philippines, and the code of risk-mitigation for artisanal and small-scale miners. 

MGB Assistant Director Engr. Roland A. De Jesus graced the workshop to welcome the guests and introduce the respective MGB participants.
