With the theme, “67 Years of Responsible Mining: Pusong Minero- The Quiet Heroes of the Pandemic” the 67th Annual National Mine Safety and Environment Conference (ANMSEC) will be held on November 24-26, 2021.
The Philippine Mine Safety and Environment Association, the country's forerunner in the promotion of occupational safety and health, sound environmental management and social responsibility in the minerals industry, is organizing the 67th ANMSEC in coordination with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources - Mines and Geosciences Bureau, the Chamber of Mines of the Philippines, the Philippine Society of Mining Engineers, mining companies, quarries, cement plants, suppliers, service contractors and other professional organizations.
Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the ANMSEC will be celebrated virtually and still be an annual event to be attended by various sectors, such as mining contractors, mining suppliers, academe, professional organizations, community development officers, government officials and other stakeholders of the mining industry.

The culminating activity in the celebration of the 67th ANMSEC is the Awarding Ceremony of the 2021 Presidential Mineral Industry Environmental Award (PMIEA) at Seda Vertis North, Quezon City on November 26, 2021. The contenders vying for the PMIEA for best mining practices in the country will be awarded to mining companies engaged in mineral exploration, quarry operation, surface mining operation, underground mining operation, and mineral processing. Winners of the 2021 Best Mining Forest Contest, Safest Mines Awards, and Best Mines Personalities will also be awarded during the said event.
