The Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) celebrated its 123rd Foundation Anniversary on November 29, 2021 with the theme, “Responsableng Pagmimina, Tungkulin Ko, Gobyerno at Industriya”. The annual event was held at the MGB Multipurpose Hall and online via Microsoft Teams.
MGB Director Atty. Wilfredo G. Moncano and MGB Assistant Director Engr. Roland A. De Jesus both gave inspirational speeches for the bureau. They both acknowledged and thanked the efforts of MGB employees, and their commitment to the duties and responsibilities of being stewards of MGB’s stakeholders.
Mr. Jim O. Sampulna, CESO I, Undersecretary (USEC) for Enforcement, Mining and Muslim Affairs also gave his congratulatory message to the bureau, noting his gratitude in MGB for accomplishing so much in the year and added a message of hope that MGB’s steadfast response to national needs will remain as the pandemic continues.
Engr. Nonita S. Caguioa, Assistant Secretary for Finance, Information Systems, and Mining Concerns, was also in attendance for the awarding ceremony for MGB employees.
The day started with a mass followed by the awarding recognition to employees for their service through the handing of Loyalty Service Awards, Plaque of Appreciation to retired employees, and Posthumous Loyalty Awards for employees who have recently passed.
