The Republic of the Philippines, through the Department of Environment and Natural Resources grants the Mineral Production Sharing Agreement (MPSA) No. 352-2022-VI on March 10, 2022 to Semirara Mining and Power Corporation (SMPC) for its Hamalian Limestone Project covering the 3,807.0571-hectare contract area situated in Semirara Island, Caluya, Antique.

The said MPSA allows SMPC the exclusive right to immediately undertake mining operations within the contract for a period of 25 years, renewable for like period.

It may be recalled that Executive Order No. 130 was issued by the President on April 14, 2021 lifting the moratorium on the issuance of Mineral Agreements.
