With the Covid restrictions easing up and the government slowly transitions to a new normal phase, the Mines and Geosciences Bureau resumes the weekly in-person Flag Raising Ceremony on Monday, March 21, 2022. All employees are in attendance and the ceremony was hosted by the Financial Management Division (FMD). For the first time in over two years, the National Anthem was again sung with utmost fervor and respect to officially start the workweek.
The morning’s event was highlighted by the announcements made by the Division Chiefs regarding their respective activities for the week. A simple oath taking ceremony of the newly appointed and newly promoted employees from the Planning Policy and International Affairs Division, Metallurgical Technology Division, Mine Safety, Environment and Social Development Division, Legal Service Division and FMD followed. This was led by the Administrative Division and the oath was administered by MGB Director Atty. Wilfredo G. Moncano.
Finally, Director Moncano addressed the whole MGB staff and announced the Bureau’s directions for the coming months.
