Pursuant to Proclamation No. 224 and 227 series of 1988, mandating the celebration of the National Women’s Month, the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) joined the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) in the celebration of the 2022 National Women’s Month with the theme “We Make Change Work for Women.”

MGB confirmed its continued commitment to Gender and Development (GAD) by recognizing women’s valuable role in society in nation-building and as agents of national development. Employees also took part in the #PurpleTuesdays program of the PCW by wearing something purple on all Tuesdays of March to show support for women empowerment and gender equality.
