Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) Officials and personnel, composed of MGB Director Atty. Wilfredo G. Moncano, Engrs. Theodore Rommel E. Pestano, Marcial H. Mateo, Joven Battung, and Vernier L. Serrano spent a "meet and greet" courtesy at the residence of the Australian Ambassador to the Philippines, H.E. Steven J. Robinson AO on June 14, 2022. They were joined by a team from the Environmental Management Bureau, Ms. Tiffany Venmahavong of the US Embassy, and Ms. Charlotte Corbyn, Head Executive Secretary to the ambassador, among others.

The event is part of the Energy Resources Governance Initiatives (Mining Sector) Course-First Batch, conceived and organized by the governments of the United States of America and Australia, including selected countries, with the goal to develop and sustain responsible mining and utilization of strategic minerals in relation to accessible energy other than fossil.

The Team immerses itself in the first overseas Face to Face engagement/event for the personnel of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources since the pandemic, during the period of June 25 to July 10, 2022 at the Mackay School of Earth Science and Engineering, University of Nevada at Reno, Nevada, USA.
