The Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) through its Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Point System, headed by Ms. Liz Cherry D. Solijon, held an orientation on Gender Sensitivity and Gender Mainstreaming last June 14-17, 2022, in Clark, Pampanga.

MGB Director Atty. Wilfredo G. Moncano welcomed the participants by extending his message virtually. He mentioned that this orientation enables MGB as a contributor to this national development and commends the organizers for supporting this advocacy for a just equality for all men and women, not only in the workplace but also in the society.

During the four-day workshop, Ms. Vichel Rse E. Juguilon-Pangan, an independent GAD specialist from the Philippine Commission on Women GAD Resource Pool, led the session discussions. Her lectures include the role of gender in the society, community, and even on oneself. She also incorporated activities for the participants relevant to the topics discussed.

To formally close the program, MGB Assistant Director and concurrent chief of Metallurgical Technology Division, Engr. Juancho Pablo S. Calvez delivered an encouraging closing message for the participants.
