The Mines and Geosciences Bureau Employee's Association (MGBEA), in collaboration with the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), conducted the “Training on Basic First Aid and Basic Life Support” last October 03 & 07, 2022 at the MGB Multipurpose Hall. Selected employees from all MGB divisions were tasked to attend said event.
Participants were taught how to properly bandage the different body parts.
MGBEA President Dr. Maybellyn A. Zepeda mentioned her surprise at how this Office never conducted trainings solely dedicated to basic knowledge on basic first-aid. With the help of BFP, they were able to squeeze in a week-long training into just two days.
Representatives from BFP discussed lessons on the different kinds of wounds and possible dangerous situations and what we can do in those situations to help not only ourselves, but the people around us. The officers proceeded on teaching the participants on how to properly bandage the different parts of our bodies and the correct way to conduct Cardiopulmonary resuscitation, which is most commonly known as CPR.

The brief training concluded with the participants all getting the chance to exercise the CPR method taught by batch.
