Information Technology Officer I from the Planning, Policy, and International Affairs Division (PPIAD), Mr. Jeffrey S. Ledesma, has successfully completed the Public Management Development Program (PMDP) Middle Manager Class (MMC) under the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP). Mr. Ledesma was part of the 28th graduating batch of the MMC. The 26th graduation ceremony was held on March 17, 2023 at DAP Conference Center, Tagaytay City.
His capstone project entitled, “Strengthening Mining Monitoring Method by Enhancing Mining Compliance Procedures Through Process Automation: Development of an Electronic Mining Compliance and Monitoring System,” was conceptualized through the guidance of his institutional partners, Engr. Nonita S. Caguioa, Department of Environment and Natural Resources Assistant Secretary for Finance, Information Systems, and Mining Concerns, and Engr. Teodorico A. Sandoval, Chief of PPIAD. The capstone project is an important integrating activity and is the course thesis equivalent in the PMDP-MMC.
According to DAP, the PMDP-MMC is designed for intelligent, innovative, driven, and dynamic junior managers with a natural love for serving people and show promise of assuming bigger responsibilities in the bureaucracy
Its goal is to foster professionalism in government and promote stability in the bureaucracy by producing a group of development-oriented, competent, dedicated, and honest government senior executives and middle managers within the medium term.
