The designated Freedom of Information (FOI) Officers from the Mines and Geosciences Bureau Central Office participated in the three-day FOI Bootcamp for newly designated FOI Officers organized by the Freedom of Information – Program Management Office (FOI-PMO) under the Presidential Communications Office on March 29-31, 2023, at the PIA Building, Quezon City.

The training-workshop tackled the FOI program, information disclosure, eFOI Portal Management, and FOI requirements through discussions and practical exercises.

As an integration of all the lessons learned during this event, participants were tasked to create action plans for to improve and promote FOI in their respective agencies. Participants also took a test to gauge their level of expertise of the FOI Program as part of their technical capacity-building skills on FOI.

The participants of this FOI training program is the fourth set of FOI Bootcamp graduates.
