The Good Stories Movement spearheaded by former United Nations Environment Programme Global 500 Roll of Honor, and Ramon Magsaysay awardee, Environmental Lawyer Atty. Tony Oposa, and with some assistance from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, conducted the International Recognition of Good Stories and Gratitude to the Moving Characters: Bayanihan na Pasasalamat Para sa Katauhan event on April 19, 2023, at the Ramon Magsaysay Center Foundation in Manila City.
Some employees of the Mines and Geosciences Bureau and its regional offices showed their support in the recognition event via Zoom and in the event’s streaming on Facebook Live.
The program aims to present the Good Stories of people who are helping to take care of, protect, and restore the Life Sources of Land, Air, and Waters of the Philippines and in Southeast Asia. It also seeks to bring international recognition and respect to the characters who make up good stories.
The event also establishes support to the commemoration of the International Earth Day.
MGB wishes to congratulate all the individuals recognized in this occasion.
