In support of the International Coastal Clean-Up (ICC) Day, on 16 September 2023, government agencies, including the volunteers of the Mines and Geosciences Bureau participated in removing of trash and debris along the Tullahan River at Brgy. San Bartolome, Novaliches, Quezon City.

Under the Presidential Proclamation No. 470, series of 2003, every third Saturday of September is declared as International Coastal Clean-Up Day. ICC Day commemorates the stand against the litter and debris crises in the marine and coastal areas alongside vigilance and education in people.

This annual event provides once more as a reminder of becoming Earth’s guardians in her creations especially in the seaside.
