The Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) participated in the 34th National Statistics Month (NSM) Hybrid Seminar, entitled: “Physically and Mentally Healthy with the Environment,” held last October 5, 2023 at the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Social Hall and via Zoom.
The National Statistics Month celebrated its 34th year, with the theme “Accelerating Progress: Promoting Data and Statistics for Healthy Philippines.”
Atty. Analiza Rebuelta-Teh, DENR Undersecretary for Finance, Information Systems and Climate Change, delivered the opening remarks. She mentioned the importance of having purpose and connections especially in handling the mental and physical health of the employees.
Meanwhile, Engr. Danny P. Berches from the Mine Safety, Environmental and Social Development Division (MSESDD) of the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) was one of the resource speakers during the seminar. He presented about the Mine Safety and Health Program via Zoom.
Other resource speakers include Mr. Bonito Alvaran from the Training Development Division, Human Resource Development Service, DENR,; Engr./EnP Rosalyn D. Sontillanosa from the National Mapping Resource and Information Authority; Mr. Alejandrino R. Sibucao, Jr. from the Forest Management Bureau; and Engr. Paul Nathan B. Vallar from the Environmental Management Bureau.
The hybrid seminar was organized by the Statistics and Data Resource Management Division, Knowledge and Information Systems Service of DENR.
