A Youth Desk Officer (YDO) from Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) participated in the Training of Trainers for the Youth Desk Officers on Social and Behavior Change Strategy for Youth in Climate Action organized by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), in collaboration with UNICEF Philippines and Positive Youth Development Network, last November 6-10, 2023 at Estancia de Lorenzo, San Mateo Rizal.

Ms. Gianne B. Capulong of MGB was one of the participants in the training. The training included other YDOs from the DENR Central Office, Staff Bureaus, Line Bureaus, Attached Agencies, and Regional Offices.

The goal of the training was to give these officers the tools necessary to lead significant behavioral and social change campaigns in their communities on the environment and climate change.

This program used the UNICEF's Programme Guidance Toolkit on Social and Behavioral Change extensively. The framing documents, advice notes, useful tools, and step-by-step directions in this toolbox are all essential for successfully navigating the terrain of social and behavioral change.

The program's objective was to provide trainers with a comprehensive understanding of social and behavioral change tactics. Its main goal was to develop a comprehensive grasp of how these ideas may be used and distributed among larger networks of young people.
