Philippine President, Benigno S. Aquino III, led the launch of the Freedom Memorial Museum to honor the Martial Law victims. The launch was held at the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Nature Center Grounds on April 28, 2016.
The President's speech was followed by a virtual groundbreaking, where certain symbolic materials were placed in the "virtual time capsule."
The Freedom Memorial Museum will be built within the grounds of the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Nature Center in Diliman, Quezon City. The museum will have facilities such as an auditorium, function rooms, an outdoor performance area, an art gallery, a serenity garden as well as dining area and a souvenir shop.
