The Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) has joined in the celebration of the 119th Philippine Independence last June 11 and 12 at the Luneta Grandstand in Manila.
Joining the booth of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, MGB employees distributed posters and flyers containing basic information about natural disasters and what to do in case these happen.
The posters provided information on sinkholes, floods and landslides. This is part of MGB’s initiative to inform, educate and increase the awareness and preparedness of the public on natural disasters.
The two-day event was attended by several government agencies having their own booths showcasing their products and services.
This year’s Independence Day theme was “Kalayaan 2017: Pagbabagong Sama-samang Balikatan.”
