The Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) enlisted eight technical personnel to join the Task Force DENR Metro Manila (DEMM).

Task Force DEMM aims to investigate complaints or reports of environmental law violations.

The Task Force is divided into four teams that comprise representatives from different DENR bureaus and offices, to cover four different zones in Metro Manila.

The MGB members will focus on addressing violations of mining laws, rules and regulations; and in situations needing the assistance of industrial safety and geo-hazard assessment reports.

Led by DENR Secretary Roy A. Cimatu, around 50 members of the Task Force DEMM took oath at the DENR Central Office in Quezon City on November 7, 2017.
