The Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) Central Office conducted a training for the senior citizens and Persons with Disability (PWD).
On November 27 and 28, the MGB conducted the two-day training entitled “Livelihood Training Courses for Senior Citizens and Persons with Disability,” at the Verjandel Hotel in Quezon City.
During the event, the participants were able to learn about the basics and necessary skills required, for them to be able to set up food cart and a laundry business. The participants were also able to do hands-on activity at the end of the event.
The livelihood training was conducted by representatives from Negoskwela Livelihood Technology Center, to provide support and assistance to the senior citizens and PWD personnel in the Bureau, and was aimed at introducing various activities to the Senior Citizens and (PWD) which they may engage in after their retirement.
