The Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) participated in the Seminar-Workshop on Performance Assessment of Hotline 8888 Operations Cum Learning Event on Stress Management. The seminar-workshop was conducted to support in the effective implementation of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Action Center Hotline 8888 operations pursuant to Executive Order No. 6, S. 2016.

DENR officials and personnel from the Central Office, Regional Offices, Bureaus, and Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Offices attended the three-day seminar-workshop held from September 5-7, 2019 which took place in the Hotel Lucky China Town in Binondo, Manila.

The first day of the seminar-workshop looked into the overview of the workshop, an orientation on understanding personal stress – its symptoms, manifestation, and effects, and a workshop on experiential activity. An awarding ceremony was later held where Mr. Benny D. Antiporda, Undersecretary for Solid Waste Management and Local Government Units Concerns and Supervising Undersecretary for Strategic Communication and Initiatives Service, DENR, presented the awards together with Mr. Ricardo P. Bernabe III, Assistant Secretary, Office of the Executive Secretary. MGB-Central Office was also awarded a Certificate of Appreciation for achieving the 100% action/closure of Action Center Hotline 8888 complaints.

The second day covered the performance presentations and recognition of the assessment of hotline operations in the Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao clusters.

The third and last day focused on the presentation of outputs and resolutions of hotline operations in the Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao clusters.
