The Philippine Statistical Research and Training Institute (PSRTI) recently held three Regular Training Courses last September 16-20, 2019 at the South Insula Condominium, South Triangle, Quezon City.

Members from different government agencies attended the event, including the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB)-Central Office, which was represented by Mineral Economics, Information and Publication Division – Mineral Statistics Section (MEIPD-MSS) staff Ms. Marjorie C. Martinez and Mr. Ariel A. De Jesus.

The MGB-MEIPD staff representatives participated in the week-long regular training course on survey operations and questionnaire design, which tackled the understanding of the principles and application of survey and questionnaire design; and the course on regression analysis which tackled the appropriate knowledge and skills used in understanding and explaining relationships among variables.

The training courses that were attended are considered to be vital to develop skills in their respective technical fields.
