The Department of Finance has released the full list of the Top 500 Annual Income Tax Returns Filers for Return Period 2019 last March 19, 2020. This list included corporations that responded to the government’s plea for companies to file their income tax returns before the determined payment deadlines amidst the lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Among the esteemed list of top taxpayers are mining companies, with Taganito Mining Corporation, Eagle Cement Corporation, and Phil Gold Processing & Refining Corporation making it to the Top 20. Meanwhile, the Cagdianao Mining Corporation, Rio Tuba Nickel Mining Corporation, and Nickel Asia Corporation made the cut for the Top 100.

It does not simply end there, as several mining companies managed to have a spot up until the Top 500 of the list. The Mines and Geosciences Bureau salutes all of them not only for practicing responsible mining, but for upholding responsibility to the nation, as well!
