With the General Community Quarantine in place, essential government services will resume substantially and national agencies are expected to deliver unconstrained services through alternative work arrangements. The Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) has implemented safer regulations for the use of the central office library to lessen human contact.
Under the new guidelines, the online client/researcher shall have to send an email request for their desired documents from the MGB library.
If the requested library documents are available, an Order of Payment (OP) signed by the MEIPD Chief or a representative shall be issued. The OP will be forwarded to the Finance Management Division for reviewing and recording. A copy of the OP will be scanned and sent to the official email address of the client/researcher.
The client/researcher will pay the amount stated in OP together with the bank service charge. Once the client has already paid the fee, he/she will send a copy of their proof of payment thru This email address is being protected from spambots. The Cashier Section will prepare an official receipt (OP) to be sent via an official email to the client.
Clients/researchers may opt to get their requests in hard copy document/s, which will be released through the Records Section, or may opt for a digital copy for which will be sent to the client's official email.
The guidelines shall be enacted immediately and may be subject to subject to lifting, modification, or may be superseded by later guidelines.
