As the country continues the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, certain public events are conducted online to comply with the implemented safety protocols. This includes the authorization of conduct of the new employees at the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) to be done through Microsoft Teams, hosted by the Administration Division’s Human Resources.

MGB welcomed sixteen (16) newly-hired and promoted employees online last September 29-30, 2020. The orientation’s main objectives were to: (1) introduce the MGB organization, its vision and mission, mandates, organizational structure, policy directions, and plans and program; (2) help new employees understand the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Policies, as well as the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and MGB rules and regulations; (3) provide awareness of the benefits and compensation; and (4) help them understand their commitment, job performance and management expectation.
