On February 23, 2021, the Philippines joined in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations' Minerals Cooperation Action Plan (ASEAN AMCAP-III) online regional workshop for the Development Prospects of the ASEAN Minerals Cooperation Working Group (DPAMC).

Mine and Geosciences Bureau Acting Director Atty. Wilfredo G. Moncano gave the opening remarks at the event, recalling the successful execution of AMCAP Phase 1 and wished everyone a successful regional workshop.

The DPAMC workshop is crucial in the further development of AMCAP-III Phase 2, which transpires this 2021 up to 2025. It is the responsibility of the Philippines as chair of the Working Group Committee on Trade and Investment in Minerals to facilitate training and workshops for ASEAN stakeholders, so as to inform and establish more progress for the AMCAP-III structure.

The ASEAN Member States, AMCAP Taskforce Members, Working Group On Minerals Information and Database, and other key ASEAN members participated in the said workshop.
