MANILA, Philippines – Listed mining firm Global Ferronickel Holdings Incorporated (FNI) acquired a nickel mine in Palawan to double the company's annual production capacity.

FNI announced, on Friday, August 7, its acquisition of Southern Palawan Nickel Ventures Incorporated (SPNVI), which owns at least 90% of Ipilan Nickel Corporation, a company engaged in nickel mining in Brookes Point, Palawan.
