The Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) is proposing a 136-percent increase in its budget for next year to fund projects in line with the government’s priority programs, particularly on disaster preparedness and mitigation. In a statement, MGB director Leo Jasareno said they have submitted their proposed budget of P1.88 billion for fiscal year 2016, up from P795.37 million this year.
