Director Leo L. Jasareno of the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) recently led the oath-taking of the first batch of 10 appointees in the MGB Central Office following the approval of the MGB Rationalization Plan submitted to the Department of Budget and Management in 2013.
The appointees, composed of five current employees and five new applicants, were among the 31 slated to assume the various vacant positions in the MGB Central Office.
The newly promoted employees were:
1. Jonathan I. Beldua, Administrative Officer IV - Financial Management Division (FMD);
2. Teresita M. Villegas, Administrative Assistant III - Legal Service Division;
3. Raul F. Velasco, Science Research Specialist II - Metallurgical Technology Division (MeTD);
4. Tita M. Mendoza, Administrative Assistant VI - MeTD; and
5. Danilo I. De Leon, Laboratory Technician II - MeTD
The newly appointed employees were:
1. Dinah Ann C. Nadonza, Accountant II - FMD;
2. Aleida Merchie R. Fugaban, Administrative Assistant II - FMD;
3. Diana Imie B. Estrada, Administrative Assistant II - FMD;
4. Ma. Lourdes Stephanie V. Leido, Geologist II - Lands Geological Survey Division (LGSD); and
5. John D. Arsenal, Science Research Specialist - LGSD
The MGB Selection and Promotion Board undertook the evaluation of all the applicants based on the Merit, Selection and Promotion Plan of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and the qualification standards set by the Civil Service Commission.
The 10 new appointees passed the different qualifying examinations like the online Ethics-oriented Personality Test and General Aptitude Test, and the written Job Knowledge Test.
The oath-taking ceremony was held last September 1 at the MGB Conference Room and witnessed by the MGB senior officials.
