Director Leo L. Jasareno of the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) recently led the oath-taking of the second batch of 265 appointees to the various positions in the agency following the approval of the MGB Rationalization Plan submitted to the Department of Budget and Management in 2013.

 A total of 138 personnel with salary grades 18 to 23 were sworn in, 39 of which are in the central office and 99 in the regional offices of MGB. Another 127 personnel with salary grades 17 and below were likewise appointed, 26 of which are in the central office and 101 in the regional offices.

As of October 15, 2015, 80.54% of the vacant positions from the MGB central and regional offices were already filled up.

The first batch of 10 appointees in the MGB central office were sworn in last September 1.

The Administrative Division of the MGB also conducted the Ethics Oriented Personality Test, Job Knowledge Test, and General Aptitude Test last October 23 and 24 to fill in its remaining residual vacant positions.
