The Department of Environment and Natural Resources through the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) recently designated Dr. Elmer B. Billedo as the new Officer-in-Charge (OIC)-Regional Director of MGB Regional Office (RO) No. I; and Atty. Danilo U. Uykieng as the new OIC-Assistant Director of the MGB Central Office.

The said designations are pursuant to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Special Order Nos. 2015-971 and 2015-970, respectively, signed on October 12, 2015.

Prior to this, Dr. Elmer B. Billedo served as the OIC-Assistant Director of the MGB Central Office. Previously, he also served as the Chief Geologist of the MGB RO No. IV-A for five years.

Engr. Carlos Tayag, the former OIC-Regional Director of MGB RO No. I, will reassume his position as Chief Administrative Officer in the said Office.

Atty. Danilo U. Uykieng was the former OIC-Regional Director of MGB RO No. III before taking on his current role as MGB CO OIC-Assistant Director.

Geologist Lope O. Cari?o, Jr. from the MGB Central Office will replace Atty. Uykieng as MGB RO No. III OIC-Regional Director.

Director Leo L. Jasareno of the MGB led the turn-over ceremonies held last October 27 at the MGB Central Office and MGB RO No. I in San Fernando, La Union to officially welcome the new heads.
