OIC-Regional Director Mario Ancheta recently received the Top Performing Regional Director for 2013 award surpassing fourteen other Regional Directors in the accomplishment of the 2013 plans and programs of the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB).

While the award is given to the Regional Director, it also honors the men and women in the Regional Offices who have helped in the accomplishment of the goals of the MGB.

OIC-Regional Director Fay Apil of MGB Cordillera Administrative Region ranked second while OIC-Regional Director Danilo Uykieng of MGB Regional Office No. III ranked third accordingly.

The rating was based on the physical accomplishments of the targets in the Work and Financial Plan (50%), financial management (10%), processing of mining applications (10%), compliance to safety, health environment and social development programs (10%), statistical reporting and website development (10%), and geohazard assessment implementation (10%).

The award was handed by MGB Director Leo L. Jasareno to OIC-Regional Director Ancheta during the MGB Expanded Staff Meeting held in Davao City last 15 October 2015.
