The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) plans to finalize the results of the mine audit reviews of the Mining Industry Coordinating Council (MICC) and announce their decision before the year ends.

The DENR said that they have already deliberated on the resolution of the motion for reconsideration (MR)s submitted to them and that the decision will be based on the combined reports of the DENR and MICC.

Only the 13 mining companies that filed MR with the DENR will get their resolution, while those who submitted their appeals to the Office of the President (OP) will have to wait until the OP decides on their appeal.
