The Panel of Arbitrators (PA) and Mines Adjudication Board (MAB) conducted the 4th Seminar-Workshop on Mining Conflict / Dispute Resolution, spearheaded by the Legal Service Division (LSD), at Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, on April 18 – 22, 2016.

The said Seminar-Workshop aimed to address the issues on the Rules of Procedure practiced on cases filed before them, information and technology administration concerns vis-à-vis database management and administrative / budgetary concerns.

The participants actively raised their concerns and proposed solutions and answers for the consideration of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and/or Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB). The amended Rules and Procedures shall be endorsed to the DENR for approval and eventual implementation.

In conjunction to the Seminar-Workshop, LSD will be holding another workshop this May, to capacitate mostly the technical personnel, who are potential expert witnesses on the rudiments of a witness testifying in different fora.
