The Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) opens its door to new lawyers who want to gain knowledge and experience that will enhance their legal expertise in mineral land disposition policies of the country.
The MGB Central Office needs three (3) lawyers, while the MGB Regional Offices need (1) lawyer for each office.
Despite the MGB's best efforts to enforce and implement mining laws, it is inevitable for cases to be filed against the agency and its officials, hence the need for lawyers' legal expertise.
MGB is the government agency assigned to implement the overall mandates, policies and programs of mining and geology in the country. It is a highly specialized agency with expertise in science and technology, and is predominantly lead by engineers and geologists.
At present, only five (5), out of the 20 attorney permanent positions are occupied. With the ongoing hiring, MGB is optimistic that it can fill up all the said positions for lawyers.
