In support to the 116th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA), 42 personnel of the Mines and Geosciences Bureau is set to participate in the Civil Service Commission (CSC) R.A.C.E. to Serve Fun Run VI on Saturday, September 3, 2016, 5:00 a.m. at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila.

The said event, organized by the CSC National Capital Region, now on its sixth year, is an annual undertaking of the Commission to raise funds for the "Pondong Pamanang Lingkod Bayani Program," to pay tribute to the public officials and employees who died in the performance of pursuit of functions, duties and responsibilities.

The race features three categories: 3, 5 and 10 kilometer run. This is open to all Filipino citizens, 18 years old and above.

The registration fee is P 200.00 per runner for all categories, inclusive of race bib and sports buff or bandana.

The R.A.C.E. to Serve Fun Run is anchored on this year's PCSA theme: "Sigaw ng Lingkod Bayani: Malasakit Para sa Taumbayan, Kapwa Kawani, at Kalikasan."
