The Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB), through its Finance Division, is currently preparing its budget proposal for fiscal year 2016 through the Online Submission of Budget Proposal System (OSBPS) of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM).

The submission thru the OSBPS is in response to DBM's instruction for all government agencies to submit all budget requirements in time for the scheduled Technical Budget Hearings.

The hard ceiling allotted to the MGB is as follows:

•    PhP362.52 million for Personnel Services ( includes retirement and life insurance premiums);
•    PhP333.97 million for Maintenance and Other Operating Expenses; and
•    PhP28.52 million for Capital Outlay (includes Mineral Reservation).

The hard ceiling is a prerequisite under budget proposal 201 for 2016 proposals.

The OSBPS requires government agencies to input the province and municipality where their programs/projects will be implemented under the Program/Activity/Project of Operations only.
