The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) issued Orders dated March 15, 2016 and March 11, 2016, declaring the cancellation of the following Mineral Production Sharing Agreement (MPSA) as final and executory:

• MPSA 160-2000-V of Ms. Maria Cruz R. Del Gallego
• MPSA 174-2002-VIII of Monark Constructors Corporation

The MPSA cancellations resulted from the continuing review of the DENR and the Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) to cleanse the non-moving tenements, in compliance to Executive Order (EO) No. 79 and DENR Administrative Order No. 2012-07.

It may be recalled that the DENR had already issued an Order of cancellation to the above mentioned MPSAs on July 9, 2015 and July 16, 2015, respectively.

To date, out of the ten cancelled MPSAs, the said MPSAs were the only ones declared final and executory.
