The Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) conducted a workshop on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for the MGB Central and Regional Offices’ Information Technology (IT) personnel to update them about the MGB Information Systems Strategic Plan (ISSP) FY 2020 – 2022. It was held on on November 12 – 16, 2018 at the Makati Palace Hotel.

During the workshop, the participants were also able to learn about the budget and plans for ISSP FY 2020-2022; ICT Budgeting and Forward Estimate; ISSP Administrative Requirements; Standardization of ICT Preventive Maintenance; ICT Costing; ICT Plan 2020 – 2022; and Migration of ICT Plan 2020 -2022.

Other IT-related topics discussed during the workshop were: Windows Operating System and Office Productivity Deployment in Network Environment; and Firewall configuration.

Also, the MGB Regional Office representatives presented their respective ICT International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Compliance.

The workshop was led by Mr. Jeffrey S. Ledesma, Chief-Information System Group; along with Ma. Cristina D. Pornillos, Planning Officer II, Planning Division, MGB Central Office.
